Clare, I have just finished reading your latest book "My Animals and Other Family". It brought back lots of wonderful memories for me. I was born in Reading, Berkshire in 1940. As I grew-up I spent many, many hours going to the local 'Cross Country/Hunter Trials' etc,. Living in Reading gave me an ideal base to go to Newbury, Windsor (that magic figure-of-eight track) race courses. My dad and I always looked at the racing pages in the National papers for the local 'Trainers' and Jockeys. I had friends who owned the 'Green Dragon' in Marlborough, who had some of the 'young jocks' who used to frequent the 'watering hole'!! Clare, thank you so much for some wonderful memories. I could go on and on. I now live in Cornwall, I have been here since 1986. Once again thank you. "A wonderful read". Best wishes to you. Keith Stacey x x
